Description
This is a handmade pottery copy of The Holy Grail movie prop. It is hand painted and gold leaf is applied to the bowl by hand. Each one is unique in its painting and gold leaf application.
This is a hand thrown piece of pottery, made on a potter’s wheel, carefully created based on screen grabs and size estimates. It estimates to be just under 6 inches and 4.75 inches to 5.25 inches across.
The grail is food safe for cold and room temperature liquids only. It will not be microwave safe or dishwasher safe. Please hand wash your grail gently with lukewarm water.
It has an excellent weight and feels like it could really be the true cup of a carpenter.
There is a new backstory as well that fits into the timeline of events with the books, movies and comics from our favorite archaeologist. Wasn’t it lost in the ruins of the grail temple? We’ll be posting more about the backstory soon.
Each grail comes packed in vintage style packaging from 1939 using recreated 1939 French postage and air mail stamps. We also recreated 1939 postage cancellation stamps from Marseille France, which is where this is being shipped from in our backstory.
Each grail comes with:
- Vintage style packaging
- A hand written letter by our favorite archaeologist with a wax sealed envelope
- A telegram from Marcus Brody
- A wooden display stand

Only one grail per customer at this time. If you wish to purchase more than one, please contact us directly to inquire about a price and time frame of delivery.
The grails will be released in lots of 10. Once they sell out, a new batch will be started. The batch of 10 take several weeks to complete so please allow some time for preparation and completion.
Grails will ship out, at maximum, 2 weeks after purchase.
Everything is prepared individually per grail. The packaging is all done by hand. All stamps are cut by hand. Packaging paper is cut by hand. The grails are all prepared individually. They are painted, weathered, gold leaf is applied, food safe resin is applied to the cup, and final checks are all done individually to assure the best quality we can possibly offer.
Extra insurance will be added to all shipments at Pixel Props Store’s expense. You will not be charged for this additional insurance.
